2004 HMVFA and ACVFA Convention

The Elsmere Fire Company will host the 77th annual Hudson-Mohawk Volunteer Firefighter's Association and the Albany County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Convention concurrently. This event will be held September 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2004, at our firehouse.

Annually, these events bring together volunteer firemen and their families, convention attendees including the Bethlehem community, as well as parade spectators, carnival goers and guests from Albany and several surrounding counties. The counties that comprise the two associations include Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Fulton, Montgomery, Green, Columbia, Warren and Washington. Over 140 volunteer fire companies belong to these two prestigious associations most of which will attend the convention, meetings and parades. We expect over 15,000 people to attend the convention participating in the association meetings, carnival, parades and other activities. We welcome you to also attend this event.

The Elsmere Fire Company is very proud to serve the community, and is equally honored to host the first joint convention of these two firefighters’ associations. Both the human and financial resources to host this joint convention will be considerable. As such, Elsmere Fire Company is soliciting several companies in which it transacts business as well as all of the fire agencies and ladies auxiliaries that comprise the two associations. Additionally, Elsmere has brought in Royalty Services (Glens Falls, NY) to solicit businesses and residents of the counties these two associations encompass. Please be aware of this activity if you should get any inquires.
