Information on ISO

What are the different ISO Ratings and where can I find more information about them?

There three ISO Ratings that are important to the fire service.  There are Public Protection Classifications, Suppression Rating Schedule, and Building Code Enforcement Classifications.

Public Protection Classifications - ISO develops relative gradings that help you gauge the capacity of the local fire department to respond if flames engulf a property in which your company has a financial stake.

Suppression Rating Schedule - The recognized standard for evaluating fire departments around the country.

Building Code Enforcement Classifications -  ISO evaluates local building codes and the enforcement of those codes. ISO's relative gradings help you project how well structures will stand up to natural hazards such as earthquakes and windstorms.
